After 3 years of limited interaction, most of us at OCRRT are longing to connect with educators once again. We want to have rich conversations about early education, we want to unpack ideas and create meaning with a diverse group of thinkers, and we want to deepen our relationship with our Orange County community. To achieve these goals, we organize school tours, we host a book club focused on Reggio inspired theory, we have conversations about how to better serve our community, and we have created a survey to discover your interests and hear your ideas. Malaguzzi said “I believe there is no possibility of existing without relationship. Relationship is a necessity of life.” It is through community that we develop relationships and share ideas, concepts which are a core part of the Reggio philosophy. In Reggio educators say “Io chi siamo” (I am who we are) to emphasize the belief that through community and collaboration we can offer our best thinking, leading to rich, fertile, and novel ideas.
So, we invite you into the OC Reggio Round table conversation: how do you build a collaborative and sustainable community? In what ways are you longing to rejoin or or deepen your sense of community? Share your ideas below. Or, be in community and join us for the next school tour on January 24th, 6:30 pm, at St. Paul’s Preschool in Tustin. The registration link will be provided after New Year.
We would appreciate it if you'd take the survey to help us understand our communities needs and interests. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScR3xS83FiFE8NvE2yuNSOs4MWmAAcZPNvmlZGCy1TUhgdTCw/viewform?usp=sf_link
