Maureen Morrison OCRRT Committee With over 30 years in the field of early childhood education Maureen holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Education. Currently she is the director at Worlds of Wonder Early Learning Center in Rancho Palos Verdes. Maureen taught at Santa Monica College for 3 years in Early Childhood Education and has a wealth of experience in starting up various child centered preschools . With a strong conviction for the Reggio Emilia Approach her strengths include identity exploration, documentation, collaborative expressions, and stories. She also has a passion for creating rich and intentional outdoor spaces. Maureen is a life long learner and has attended OCRRT events since the organization was launched. She looks forward to supporting other like-minded professionals. | Veronia Hernandez OCRRT Committee She has been working in the ECE field for over 20 years. First as a teacher at the Fullerton College Child Care Center and then as a Lead Teacher at the Fullerton College Department Lab School. As a teacher in a Reggio inspired, Social Constructivist and Nature Based program, her passion lies in the foundations of Peace Education and the Anti-Bias approach to education. She feels that implementing Peace Education and anti-bias approaches into everyday curricula can create an inclusive community where everyone’s voice is valued and heard. For the past eight years, she has been an active staff member for Orange County Peace Camp, and for the past four years, an active member in Educators for Peaceful Classrooms and Communities. As a committed volunteer of CAAEYCs Center for Social Change, she has had the privilege of serving on the 2020 Center for Social Change Panel of Experts. |
